Crazy for Crazy Rumors Lip Balm

Wow, this summer has truly been a whirlwind! For those of you in non-teacher land, summer doesn’t really mean relaxing and sunbathing every day. It means planning, designing lessons, and OCCASIONALLY sunbathing and relaxing. I swear! Since I definitely spend more time outdoors in the summer, my skin feels it…especially my lips! And, since converting to a cruelty free diet, I found out (through my lips and skin) that I was lacking in essential B-vitamins. So, once I fixed up my supplements, my lips needed some serious TLC. Enter, Crazy Rumors, the experts on all things Vegan, Natural and Lip Balmy.

Yes, that says Red Velvet…

Those sweet, sweet, lip balm aficionados sent me a tasty care package with these three balms to try. The Red Velvet and Be My Honey take on the more traditional lip balm traits. The shea butter is soothing and moisturizes my lips perfectly. And if you’re wondering, yes, they do taste like their names. The Red Velvet has a subtle chocolate flavor and the Be My Honey tastes sweet like honey would…except this is bee free my friends!

I love this shimmery touch!

I also received the HibisKiss Lip Color in Breeze to sample.  I usually don’t wear a lot of lip colors, so I was excited to try something that seemed more subtle. Breeze was the perfect bronzy pink color that smelled AMAZING!

The scent reminded me of tropical paradise. This is going to be my go-to for summer color on my lips when it’s just too hot for a complicated makeup look. Pair this with your favorite cruelty free bronzer and you’re good to go. In November, my students will probably see me rocking this shade to remind myself that summer will come again soon, haha!

Overall, these lip balms have gentle ingredients like Macademia, Olive, Shea, and Jojoba and they are sentenced with NATURAL essential oils. There is nothing synthetic about these lip treats. If you’re looking to add some more natural goodness in to your beauty routine, start here!

And, on a completely unrelated note, if you follow Crazy Rumors on Twitter, they actually chat with you when you tweet at them. Call me Crazy (lol), but I love conversating with a brand. Happy almost school season, ya’ll! Before the Fall comes make sure your lips are pampered! :)

  1. Sounds like a pretty noteworthy set to try. I’ve only recently begun to experiment with various brands for various items. I’ve tried Burts Bees and the generic brand thus far. Maybe this will be the next on my list! Besides, lip balms are actually useful, especially once winter arrives. xD
