Has anyone else been successfully navigating the current state of the world? No? Good. You’re not alone. Sifting through the ashes of what our world used to be has been really hard for me personally. I long for our world I could blog without worry of being pushed down by censors and “experts.”
I remember when the Internet was a place for expression. Somehow we have morphed into a polarized society that equates healthy disagreement and discussion with danger. I’m not quite sure how we got here, but what’s come out of this experience is a new clarity on how I plan to live my life and lead my family.
We will continue to stand strong together as a family unit.
We will continue to do what’s right for our family even when it is not the “popular” choice.
We will continue to stay mindful about our social media usage. These posts are curated and crafted purposely.
We will continue to stand up against censorship — fact checkers and experts are not my end-all/be-all.
We will continue to ask questions, do our research, and be open to other perspectives.
I try hard not to get “political” on my platforms which is why I have kept this domain space for so long. The only guaranteed place for me to have true freedom of speech without the censorship is here on a space that I pay for.
The polarized society, the fear, and the personal attacks on differing opinions is not my cup of tea and never will be. You do not have to pick a side. I will continue to teach that to my son and to my students for as long as I can.
Be brave. It’s not always easy, but the power is truly within you. Do the work and watch the abundance flow.
