Has it been a busy end of summer in blog-land or what? I’ve been having a fantastic time trying out and sampling new products, but when I met the fine folks behind Yuni Beauty: Seekers of Good, I knew I was in for a treat! Yuni Beauty is a brand that has LITERALLY just launched and I’m in love. Their natural, organic, animal (and people) friendly philosophy is something I can get behind, and Emmanuel Rey, the founder of the brand, combines two things that I love: yoga and beauty. Rey is an ashtanga yoga instructor and an all around great person to talk to. I have a bunch of amazing items share with you, so let’s get started, shall we?
Instant Shower Sheets ($12) and No Rinse Cleansing Foam ($19): These babies are amazing and were actually the first product of Yuni that I tried! I love anything that makes staying fresh and clean convenient. The Yuni Beauty Instant Shower Sheets smell fresh and minty. Neem oil soothes the skin, and the aloe helped me feel comfortable and clean after a day at the beach with a lot of sun time. I used two sheets (one for upper and lower body) and felt great for the ride home. These wipes are plant-based and biodegradable, too. Likewise, the cleansing foam is soft, gentle, and contains the same botanicals from Neem and Aloe. I liked the foam for a heavier workout (lifting or running), as it seems to me to be more concentrated and powerful than the instant shower sheets. Either way, BOTH need to be in you gym bag!
Sometimes, around the change of season my skin can get cranky. So, both the Yuni Beauty Active Calm Face Serum ($29) and Active Calm Moisturizer ($29). The moisturizer is rich and smells earthy which I really liked. It packs a punch of green tea and Turmeric for a major antioxidant boost which is perfect for the summer to fall shift that’s going on where I live. The serum has the same green tea blend with an added dose of Echinacea stem cells to promote youthful skin. I liked using the serum before bed, and the moisturizer as a light base for my day to day makeup. As I also have oily skin, the moisturizer kept me from getting too shiny and greasy, and never felt heavy!
The Yuni Beauty Microveil Hair Treatment ($22), was unexpectedly awesome for me. Packed with Argan and Kukui oils (two oils I’ve used on my hair before), this treatment boasted being heat activated. I do NOT heat style my hair. So, I was worried that I wouldn’t see the benefits. I used this every second day after my hair was lightened and colored to the bright red I have now. It was a great supplement to my other cruelty free hair treatments. Curls are so finicky, but they were shiny and looked really great. I’m glad this worked for me even though I don’t use heat.
Yuni Beauty’s body care was just as exciting for me to try! Their all-purpose cream and moisturizer (not yet available), are both thick and luxurious. I really liked using them after shaving as a soothing balm. Finishing off with their Aromatic Body Mist ($25), gave me a spa like experience at home!
If you’re on the search for a new plant-based, organic and essential oil infused dose of amazing, look no further than this Yoga inspired brand. Namaste!
