Product Review: Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash

Before I dive into this amazing product, some routine things for which I will use bullet points:

  • I have updated (what?!?!) my health/fitness section with more weight loss pictures, and new weigh-in’s. I’m challenging myself to reach 130 pounds. I have 6 to go, and Weight Watchers is the only way to do it. Thus, updating needed to be done. Check it.
  • I have been accepted into the GTA (Graduate Teaching Assistant) program at my school. This is amazing for two reasons. 1) My ultimate goal is to teach Composition and Literature at the college level. 2) I will not have to sub next year.
  • I should be completing my job’s blog on “Hot New Signage Materials,” but I wanted to let you know about the magic that is bliss.
  • My professor has made me a bit obsessed with bullet points. It just makes everything look more important, don’t you think?
  • About three weeks ago I was in the shower, and realized my MAC Green Gel Cleanser was almost empty. I had no time to travel to the mall to buy more, and ordering it online and rush deliver it would have probably cost more than my graduate school, so I decided to take a risk, walk into Ulta, and look for a new cleanser. I met a man named Jose, who used to work for MAC and explained the situation to him. I needed something in a similar price range, consistency, and something that will keep my oily skin at bay. He introduced me to Bliss products, specifically the Fabulous Foaming Face Wash. I immediately loved the name because it’s chock full of alliteration (shut up, I’m a nerd!), but a fun name and a good smell means nothing if my face was going to be a minefield within a week. He did a demo of the wash, toner, and moisturizer on me, I decided to purchase the cleanser, and warned him that if I had middle school skin in 5 days I was coming back to hunt him down. Three weeks later, I’m addicted and possibly in love.

The FFF has cleansers and exfoliators in one, which I love, since efficiency is key for me. It contains natural botanicals (rose hip extract, milk thistle, passion flower and chamomile), and feels amazing on your skin. The scent is light and flowery, perfect for spring in my opinion, and the ingredient list isn’t a mile long. I use about two pumps in the shower, and rub it on both my face and neck two times a day. My skin is literally glowing, feels smooth and soft, and my pores are minimized. Jose had it right, after using MAC’s Green Gel Cleanser for almost 5 years, I’ve found something comparable, and something that does right by my skin. I also love the chamomile, which helps to calm down my skin which can be oily and dry at the same time (yes, that is possible). While the product comes at a price of $22.00 for a 15oz bottle, a little truly goes a long way. I’m one to be thrifty when I can, but when it comes to this product you truly get what you are paying for.

What are some of your favorite cleansers and skincare products you have tried? Any that you refuse to use again? Any that you refuse to ever stop using? Let me know! My Mom still stands by Noxema and her St. Ive’s Apricot face wash, but I’m determined to get her to try this sometime soon!

That’s really cool, and I’m glad you love it!

I use Neutrogena; I’m allergic to anything and everything else. …And I can’t use organic things, either.

Haha, thanks! I’ll be posting the facts on Fridays – and they’ll be scheduled, so I won’t be missing a Friday!! :D

I may have to see if I can find that cleanser when I’m finished with my bottle of Aveeno face wash. I like it, but I don’t LOVE it. Hmmm.

      sounds fabulous :)

I have terrible acne and I’ve tried everything. Antibiotics cleared up my skin, but it came back about six months after I went off the stuff. My doctor last year told me I have rosacea, which no dermatologist has ever told me before. I got rid of my harsh cleansers, my clarisonic brush, my skin clearing goop and all the other stuff I put on my face and now I just use cetaphil. My skin isn’t 100% clear, but it’s a lot better than it was.

I love CLEAN N CLEAR Daily Pore Cleanser – my favorite. I also use some of the Ayurmedic products which are a bit pricey. Umm what else .. Ambers Botanical Scrub (can be found on my beauty blog http://beautykarma.blogspot.com) it’s awesome. I have sensitive skin so I hate trying/switching out skincare products because most of the time it’ll make me break out!!!

Usually I just make use of Pond’s facial wash and I use Olay moisturizer before applying makeup + Pond’s cold cream when taking it off. Congrats on being accepted into GTA and good luck on the 6lbs left! I’m sure you can do it :) BTW im back in the blogosphere – hope you still remember me!
